Chair: Salvatore V. Pizzo, M.D., Ph.D.

As the field of pathology grows, it is essential that graduate programs train students in the gamut of modern techniques. The Duke Pathology Department offers an environment where graduate students study and research cutting-edge investigations in biomedical research. Graduate students examine the molecular mechanisms of disease, providing the necessary background to select an area of research. The Experimental Division, which interacts directly with graduate students, pays particular attention to those diseases associated with vascular and inflammatory disorders and tumor biology. |
