The Program in Cell and Molecular Biology is the largest and most interdisciplinary graduate training program at Duke, drawing from the excellent research and learning environment of the Medical School and the University. The interdisciplinary nature of the graduate training program provides research that is exciting, highly diverse, and easily accessible. Students have an outstanding opportunity to design their own curriculum and satisfy their career objectives.

The confocal microscope is one of a number of shared-user facilities available to students. These facilities enrich the research and training opportunities of the program.
